Repeat Prescriptions

If you require regular medication
on prescription, your GP will usually set up a repeat prescription on
your computer record. This can then be ordered at set intervals
without seeing a doctor in person. If you are a new patient to the
practice, usually we will need to see you in person first to arrange
this service.
Choose one of the following
options to request a new prescription for your repeat medicines:
-
Make a request by
email.
-
Complete the tear-off reorder
form on the right-hand side of your last prescription. This
can then be left in the prescriptions request box next to the
reception desk at the Health Centre, or can be posted to us via the
Royal Mail.
-
Complete a request form which
is available from the reception area at the Health Centre.
This too can be returned to us via the prescriptions box next to
reception.
-
Reorder over the telephone.
We have a dedicated line (01506 423871) which operates only between
11am and 1pm. Please have full details of your medicines to
hand when you call (name, strength, type).
Please give us TWO FULL WORKING
DAYS to deal with your prescription requests. The prescription is
passed to your usual GP for checking and signing, and this is usually
not completed until the day following the request. The GP may ask
you to make a routine appointment for review from time to time, and may
occasionally not issue the prescription until this has occurred.
Once completed, the prescriptions may be
collected from our reception desk. Alternatively, if you supply a
Stamped Addressed Envelope, we can post them back to you. Several
local pharmacies also provide a collection service. Ask at
reception for further details.
